When I listen to my session, the panning has no effect on a track. I can not pan l or r?

Does anyone know why this is?

Do you have the 'mono' button engaged on your 002?

In between the monitor and headphone level knobs at the top of the 002 or on the right of the 002R.

If you solo the track, and watch a stereo master fader track while panning, do the meters reflect the panning you are doing?

Are you talking about using the knobs on your 002 or panning with the mouse?
