Default Protecting unused regions from being Deleted in Region list

This is the ? I have bounced several tracks together and imported the bounced traked into my session and deleted the seperate tracks from the mix but leave the region intact in the region list just incase i need to go back to them. I want to record vox in the session but as you know you have to do many takes and i erase unused takes by clearing unsed regions. How do I do this without erasing regions i want ot keep just but not want in the mix

USe the "duplicate" track oprion. It will place a copy of the original track undernath the track. THen bounce.. then you always have the originals in the pop up option in the triangle on the track.

That’s "Duplicate PLAYLIST"!
("Duplicate track" will make a new track to the right of the other.)

But you might as well use "New playlist":

1. Bounce the tracks.
2. Give the original tracks good explanatory names.
3. Use "New playlist" on each track. The tracks will be empty of regions.
4. Delete all the tracks, and select NOT to "..delete other playlists that belongs to this track".
The old tracks will be gone, but you will have playlists with the regions and edits redy to select in tracks later. And as long as you dont delete the extra playlists, they will always follow the session.

The reason I suggest "duplicate playlist" as opposed to "new playlist" is so you have a template to paste the bounced file to.
otherwise id the original playlist did not start exactly at the start of the session, you cant place it perfectly.

And while were on the subject.. I wish LE had the option to place the bounce in the clipboard. Deck and other apps have this and saves a LOT of time. no need to search through the file list to find the recent bounce...... hey,,while we are on the subject...
Why cant digi make the "sort options" stick with a session.
I have to choose " sort by creation date" about 50 times a day.
I have never need any other sort option. GRRR...
