Default "Assertion" Error when using Sound Miner

Sound Miner worked fairly well with PT9 until today. For no obvious reason at all, I suddenly get the following error, when I try to transfer a file from Sound Miner to PT:

Assertion in"[...]Sys_FileLoc.cpp", line 199

I didn't change anything, it suddenly appeared. The files are copied to the desired folder, but they are not imported into PT.

Any ideas?

Default Re: "Assertion" Error when using Sound Miner

This thread is too old. I guess by now you have achieved the solution for the stated problem. However, Google searching on this topic brought me to this forum, and I hope many more will arrive at this place in future, looking for solutions. Hence I am stating how I got through this problem.

Most of our pro-tools projects are in 24 bits. Just by intuition I checked the "Preferences" settings on my SoundMiner V4Pro and I found the bit depth was set there to 16!

I changed that to 24 and after that, my sounds are smoothly flowing into ProTools from Soundminer, without any hassles.
I hope this would help. If this solution worked for you, don't forget to state it here. I will feel nice that I solved someone's problem.
