Default scrubbing?

Hi all,

I've been reading the protools reference guide for kicks before I buy a PT setup and am pretty unfamiliar with DAW editing. I'm wondering, what is audio scrubbing? (as in using the scrubber tool in the edit window)

Default Re: scrubbing?

Its like rocking the tape-reels to pinpoint an exact location or sound, only the digital variant.
