Default in the gray

A colleague of mine gave me some sessions to record guitar onto. He uses 6.4. I'm opening them up in 7.0. No big deal. But there are a couple of sessions where all the drums tracks, when viewed in the edit window, are highlighted in gray. There are regions that I can see but the tracks aren't playing. The regions for these tracks are listed in the region list.
I went into the audio file folder to double check the presence of the required regions. The regions I'm looking for have names like Audio_01-02, Audio_02-02, etc. These I couldn't find in the audio file folder (even though they're in the region list) but instead saw files such as Audio_01, Audio_02, etc. Seemed like a possible explanation except that there's a bass track in the session called Bass_01-02 whereas in the audio file folder there's only a Bass_01. The bass track plays just fine.
Any thoughts?

If the tracks are greyed out in the mix window as well, they have been deactivated, so reactivate them. If just the regions are greyed out in the edit window, that means the audio files are offline, so you're probably missing them, or you may just need to find them and relink.

Audio_1-02 is an automatically generated region based on an edit made to Audio_1, so if you're not displaying auto-created regions, you won't see it in the regions list.
