Default Melodyne Uno Essential Limitations?

The Ignition Pac in PTLE 7 includes Melodyne Essential Uno. Is this version able to alter pitch? When I tried this (sliding the pitch up or down) the pitch just slips back to its original pitch after releasing the mouse. Also the pitch only seems to move in whole steps. Is there a way to get at least semitone resolution?

Lower left corner where it says "note"- choose "no pitch snap". I love the program, though highly suggest you spend time with it and read all you can and see any video tutorials.

Thanks for the feedback. So that I am clear, are you saying this version cannot re-tune or change the pitch of a waveform? By pitch snap doesn't that mean aligning to a particular grid like whole tones or semitones rather than a continuous pitch variation? A variable pitch change is preferable over snapping only to whole or semitones anyway since vocalists are rarely off by a specific tone or semitone. I thought that pitch change or re-tuning is what the program was for, no? If it can't alter tuning or pitch, then what can it do?

Hi again. I just stumbled on Youtube Melodyne videos here and never knew that you could double click a note to make it go to where the program thinks you want it to go. Will check it soon. A lot of the tricks in the video are on the high end versions but there are other videos with just the basics being explained. I don't have the Adapted version anymore. I may be wrong but think you only get a glimpse of the possibilities, unlike Reason Adapted, Live and others where you can really do something. That being said, I am happy that I upgraded to the full Uno. It's fun to work with. Sorry I cannot be of more help..

Thanks a lot, I had found this video already. I finally ground thru the user guide for Melodyne as you suggested, not straightforward at all. But now that I have gone thru it I can now easilly tune tracks. Thanks for the boost, sometimes that's all we need to get over a hurdle.

Best Regards
