Annual Upgrade Plan Rises By Nearly 15%?!

Just logged into Avid and seen my Annual Upgrade Plan is priced at £94.80

Last year it was £82.80 so by my calculation that is a rise of nearly 15%

I can't say I am too pleased. I rarely chime in on these type of threads but it feels like Avid is taking the biscuit here. Sure, I was happy with the extra features added last year but let's have a reality check here.

Cakewalk Sonar £159.99
FL Studio Producer Edition £159.99
Logic Pro X £199.99
Propellerhead Reason 9.5 £299.99
Ableton Live 9 Standard £299.99

Nearly £100 for 12 months of software updates is looking decidedly over the top compared with the purchase price of a some of these fully featured DAWs.

What makes it worse is Avid is twisting my arm and threatening with the outlandish reinstatement costs if I fail to say "yes".

I certainly am missing the old days. I don't think I missed and upgrade since Pro Tools 5 but I am feeling a little bullied and ripped of these days.

Avid didn't raise prices that I know of. Must be exchange rate related?

Pro Tools Upgrade Plan renewal is still $99US, so perhaps this is from changes in exchange rates or taxes? Looking into this...

My guess is Brexit has changed the GBP rates as Avid hasn't changed their pricing structure so it is definitely the exchange rates from dollar to pounds. All dollar product prices are about 18-20% more expansive here aswell and have been for quite a long time.
