Default DigiSystem™ INIT cuts HD speeds in half?!

Adding new life to Neville1's post
from May 9, 2000
http://www.digidesign.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/001436.html

Have we made any progress on this
DigiSystem™ INIT problem?

Are we supposed to buy fast hard drives
for the digi systems because you cut the speed in half?
Maybe you can compensate for this by
enabling ProTools5LE to use Dual Processors.
(you can laugh. that was funny)

Come on, Digi!
You've been working on this for months!
How bout an answer, please?

If your software designers are taking this long to provide a solution,
you possibly need to hire more
programmers and debuggers. www.dice.com is one of many places you can find good I.T. support people.
I don't work for them, but thought you might
benefit from this information.

Best Wishes.
Hope you fix this stuff soon.

Apparently they're working on it, but
no solution yet?

When they fix it, please let me know.

Happy Audio!
