iLok Authorizations

Hello there guys,

I would like to transfer my existing authorizations of products that Digidesign distributes to my iLoK. How do I go about doing this Digidesign?

I think you'll have to wait for PT6 for PC at which point all authorizations will be via iLok.

Check out the iLok stuff on the Digi web-site ( there is a link on the home page ). When PT6 comes out you will have to set up an iLok account, Digi will then transfer your authorizations onto your account and you will be able to download them onto your iLok. ( At least I think that's how it works ).

This only works for Mac currently.

So I will need an Internet conexion in my studio Pc?

Not necessarily, you will be able to load licenses onto your iLok from any computer with an internet connection. Then just return the iLok to your studio CPU and you are ready to go.

Could you confirm whether or not we have to wait for PT 6 for Windows to be released before we can transfer our existing authorizations over to our iLoks?

Hello,

Some plug-ins are available now with iLok authorizations, such as the HD|Pack plug-ins, etc. However, most Mix plug-ins are still floppy based. We will need to wait until 6.x to transfer all authorizations to iLok.

Tech support tells me that version 6.1 for Windows will be available mid summer. I guess (as usual) Windows Mix users will just have to wait.
