Default Solo and playlists

If I have a very long list of playlists in a track (in addition I have several grouped tracks), I do not see a playlist is solo. No indication solo on my dashboard (as a track). If I solo on the track (main floor!), It does not remove the solo from the playlist. So a reasonable view, that is not a salami sandwich thinly, I have to get off and go check what's solo. Somebody has a trick?

Is this translated from French? Let me try to answer a question I'm not sure I understand. The SOLO button on any main track will SOLO that track(ie MUTE all other tracks. But the SOLO button on a playlist lane(but NOT the one that is the main playlist) will make that playlist be the one that is heard on playback. Now you also can choose to SOLO both the main track(muting all other tracks) AND solo each playlist(one at a time) so you can listen to each playlist by itself. I suggest going to youtube and watching some tutorial videos on "using playlists in pro tools"(without the quotes)

Thanks.

Indeed, it is translated from the French, half Google+, half me ... and this sometimes makes Chinese ...

I just watched the video, this is not it. I mean the playlist view.

In fact, the first problem is that the solo on the main track leaves playlists solo (I understand why, but it would be an option). The second problem is that if the playlist number 32 is solo, nothing indicates that unless we have this playlist ahead. If one is on the top 10 playlists, you can believe hear the track (the principal), but refers to the playlist 32. There should be a sign at the top that says you have a playlist solo somewhere. As for the tracks.

I see your point.
When the main playlist is solo and the playlist number 32 is solo, the main playlist solo light coud be, maybe, orange and not yellow.

It's your privilege to put that to idealscale. I will vote.

Thank you, I do it soon. Or you can do it yourself? I had trouble understanding this in my broken English. It should be added that it is necessary to cancel the playlist solo on the main track at the top.

I agree that would be a good feature. I try to never keep more than 10 playlists(I usually stop at 3-4). If something takes that many tries to get, I either move on to something else, and come back for another try, or just grab a few playlists, and maybe do some punch-ins. Then I will comp and polish(with Melodyne and Elastic audio) until I get something presentable. Its been my experience that running the same part more than this just burns out the artist

Yes. But it happens to me with amateur directors and amateur talents for VO or ADR. Up to 29 takes ... , not my decision .
