Default Mac Audio Midi setup won't see 002r

Hey Guys-

I've done searches, read manuals, etc. Maybe I'm missing something. My 002R will not come up in the Apple Audio Midi setup program. I have a MIDI input device hooked up to 002R, see the light coming on in the front panel, but no MIDI input to PT throught the 002. A USB device I have works.

002R is selected as interface, audio works as expected--

PT 10.3.8

Mac OS 10.8.5

I think I've downloaded the latest drivers.

Thanks-

PC

Default Re: Mac Audio Midi setup won't see 002r

I'm also running my old 002r on my macbook pro. I initially had some trouble, but after finding the right info i got it to work. i DID have to install one of the latest 003 (Not 002) drivers to get it to work with pro tools 10 though. One you install the driver open up the "Avid 003 Family" app. It should show that the 002 is connected and recognized. from there you can open up Pro Tools, select 002r as your hardware in the I/O (You might have to create your own i/o settings for it, I did.) and you should be good to go! A least thats what i did, and it worked for me.

Im also running Pro Tools 10.3.8 and OS X 10.8.5

EDIT: i found the link... I know it doesnt make any sense, but i downloaded the 11.1.2 driver. Which isnt supposed to support the 002 or any OS under mavericks.. But again, it worked for me. http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/d...02-003-Drivers
