Default More cache for ProTool & CPU upgrade

Hey,
Running Digi 001, le 6.4 on a powermac g4 (agp 100mhz) I want to upgrade
my cpu to be able to handle more plugins- The question is should I get an
upgrade with a little less speed and more cache, ot less cache-more speed???
