Logic 7.2!
LP 7.2 was released today. I just ordered the crossgrade from Apple. They mention on their site that we need a new stream-manager for PT 7. This seems to be the missing link for PT7 and LP7 to work together again.
Digi??? Any word on when that will be up?

Some interesting things. It looks like EXS24TDM is supported. Also, the native side of Logic will play back AAC files with no conversion needed.
Unfortunately, no RTAS support in Logic, and no AU support in PT, so with HTDM being gone, we'll no longer be able to use things like AltiVerb 5 on the TDM mixer side. That's a major drag. OTOH, with a bunch of obsolete code cut out of PT 7, we might have more stability. I'm anxious to hear some initial reports. After you, my dear Alphonses. Lee Blaske

Nothing is said about it, so I'd be 99.99999999% sure that it's not supported.

Thanks. I hope it won't take 7 days. I ordered one and it's coming within 3 days. I am ready to install! I am really tired about sound quality and usage limit of core audio. Best Toppo

Does anyone know if there are any drawbacks to using a Universal app on older machines? If I currently have an older G5, are there any gotcha's since now the push is for developers to write for the Intel chip?

Kind of makes you wonder how Apple could have tested ProTools compatibility sufficiently if Digi isn't even finished testing the stream manager. Seems like that would have to finish testing before Apple could do a final test. No??
