Default HD requirements for large sessions 96K...

What multi HD set ups work best for large mixing and tracking sessions at 96K?
I know I'll need several drives for optimum playback for each session. I know I cannot use RAID arrays.
So, what are the best hardware and formatting scenarios? (i.e. hot swap racks, dual enclosures, etc.) OWC has dual HD enclosures that seem attractive because they are compact and affordable but, has anyone had good experiences with them? Also, do I format them in SPAN or independent modes?
Thank you.

We have been running 96K session for almost 5 years by now. we often max out at 96 tracks on 96K. actually a lot more simple than you think. we just split the tracks to internal HD and a FW800, 2 drive will be enough.

But when u mixing, we have HD6 system with chassis and 72 in/out interface.. So tracking at 96K is simple, but when mix it you need a big system.

Internal SATA drives are fastest, but FW800 externals are fast enough, too. Using FW800 96 tracks at 96k I record to three of them. Don't know about those particular OWC drives, but OWC drives that I've used before are very compatible with Pro Tools.
