Default Updated drivers...Wont Start!!!

I am running a 002 on my MacPro with PT 8.03 I noticed that PT9 is out and somehow I ended up in the drivers section. I saw 002_003_Drivers_v90_69599
and decided well I might as well upgrade the drivers in anticipation of getting PT9. I also downloaded MIDI_IO_Driver_v90_69602 . I installed both of these and then after I restarted my computer I keep getting the PT Cannot be opened because of a problem thingy and I can send a report to avid. How can I uninstall these drivers? Or is there a workaround?

Default Re: Updated drivers...Wont Start!!!

Installed the v9 drivers for 002/003 on a clone of my SL PT 8.0.4 rig and same thing happens - PT won't boot. Error as soon as I try to launch.

So yeah, the new drivers seem to only be compatible with PT 9.

They should probably add a note somewhere on the DL stating that to avoid confusion.

Shame they don't work as I thought I'd finally be able to have a multi client rig with the 003 here at work. I don't think they're going to upgrade to 9 atm as it offers no benefit at all for what we do.

I updated my personal rig the night of the launch and couldn't be happier. :)

Angry Updated drivers...Help us delete them?!

I did the same thing, now PT LE 8.01 won't start - the drivers are obviously not for non-intel macs/ below 8.05

Help, how to uninstall the drivers?

How to get new drivers if they are needed?
