Hey Music Editors, OMF export problem Avid to PT
I need to get an OMF file from an Avid session to my PT session. The one we did came across fine. except it was at 24 fps, and I need 29.97 nd. The editor told me there was not any choices for this upon exporting, only OMF 1 or 2 (we chose 2) and SDII, which we also chose. I used OMF Tool 2.0.8 briong into PT.
Any advice or suggestions. Thanks Mr. A.

Re: Hey Music Editors, OMF export problem Avid to PT
You need to get the latest version of DigiTranslator. You can export 24fps OMF 2 from the Avid w/ media files, and Digitranslator will convert it to 29.97fps no problem. We do it where I work daily. Just make sure you export w/ media files! I can't tell you how many times technicallly clueless editors hand us an OMF on a floppy and think it will work!
