Nope, I've been "sober" since 2002 and couldn't be happier about the decision

Haha! My PC rarely sees the light of day anymore either, only for games.

But I swear, anthropologists should teach a class on the Mac/Windows debate (if they don't already). Some of the quotes we've read about this silly, outdated quarrel are hilarious. I own both, and believe either could make an entirely valid professional studio, but I "prefer" Macs. For reasons not all of which are related to it being better, only better for me, and mainly because I'm more familiar with it, which makes it easier. For games, PC, all the way. If I ran a hospital or accounting firm or wrote software for the Mars expedition I'd probably buy PCs. By and large it's a silly debate of antiquated arguments and prideful stubbornness.

I had my main board crap out on me last week. (Gigabyte running a Hackintosh) and I installed PT10 on a win8 machine running a AMD 8 core none the less

It's was really nice and quick and solid. It was running an earlier version of the euphonix software also w/o issue.

Usb3.0 transfer rates are off the chain on win8 it's above 50mb a second.

But yes I prefer Mac. Restored bios on the gigabyte board and was able to boot back into 10.8.4

Got the MPX for $50 with the promotion. All together with the Total Bundle and the LXP, I've spent $475. Not too bad.

Who has tried the Beta? I have and the settings still don't stick. If you copy an instance to another track it reverts back to default and when you reload the session you are back to initial settings. For me. In PT11 HDX on SnowLeopard.
