Default Strike 1.5 upgrade

I loaded Strike 1.5, upgrading from 1.0 - the install went fine but when launching strike plug-in I get an error message that says it can't find the content and I need to run the locator. I have done that but the error message persists.

Anybody have an idea of on what I'm doing wrong? Do the content files need to be located in a certain place on the harddrive?

Frustrated, Thanks.

No, sorry - I am running Pro Tools 8.5 on the MBox Pro Gen 3 hardware. I run a VISTA 32 bit Dell computer.

Hmmm... did you move the Strike Content after installation? What happens when you install Strike Content to your sample drive and run the Set Content Location application?

ProTools has to update the registry to set the content location. That's why it's not working. You need to start ProTools in Administrator mode at least once to enable it to update the registry correctly.

Correct me otherwise, that applies to Pro Tools 10?

I moved my AIR content onto my second internal drive, and was not able to get Strike to find the content (ran the set location utility until I was blue in the face).

I uninstalled and reinstalled Strike, indicating where I wanted the content to go, and it worked fine.

I then realized that I had missed my desired destination by one folder, so I moved it and ran the set location .exe utililty.

It didn't do anything (apart from saying "all done!" - I love that bit).

Anyway, I uninstalled it and reinstalled again, this time putting the content exactly where I want to keep it permanently, and again it works fine.

Had to do the same with Velvet, both operations were executed in order to get the content off of my OS drive.

Set location doesn't work for me at all.

Reinstall from download works great.
