Default When did they discontinue the mBox Mini Gen3?

http://www.avid.com/us/resources/Mbo...-by-Fast-Track

Wonder what this means in the grand scheme of Avid hardware?

No big deal. It's mainly just a repackage/rebranding for the lowest budget interfaces. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well when PT9 showed up I questioned the future of mPowered and the former LE hardware.
Now we are up to 11 so there's no doubt Avid is staying the course of unlocked hardware and they have been constantly trimming hardware without replacing it.

Just curious where this is really headed, especially from a support point of view for the 002, 003 and mBoxes in future revisions.

In this particular case, 1 product is being replaced in the product line by 2 newer products introduced a couple of months ago:

But I would agree that there has been a general trend towards simplifying the overall product line.

Thanks for the reply.
They have definitely been cleaning up overlapping products and market price points.
