Default Opened my session and all my audio files are missing from their tracks

So I was working on this song and went to shut down pt and my pc and pt just went unresponsive so i hit "end program", and shut off my pc. Today i open the session and all the audio files are missing from their respective audio tracks. They still exist in the audio files folder under my session folder, but i'd really not have to import them all back in and line them up. And I would like to avoid this problem in the future. Any advice out there?

Did you try a backup session file? Probably be fine in there.

Correct.

*I have also found it wise to duplicate and consolidate audio files and hide them for emergencies.

I don't think a backup session file is gonna help...

Sounds like whatever drive those files are on is offline... Check the Full path to see where they are...

You sure about that?

Just sounds like he had a crash that corrupted the original session. A backup session file should still have everything in it.

Ya KB's right.... the session backups have the same problems, audio doesn't show up in the tracks, if i go way back like 24 backups it has some of the original regions from the rough takes but still no audio and wants to relink them.

The most recent backups which have the 10 new audio tracks, which are the final audio that i recorded yesterday, wont show up in any of the recent backups while the tracks they were on do, and the plugins come up with their settings as well.

Keybeeets.. what do you mean by "full path" and how would that solve my problem?

Also on a side note some of the backup files have blue writing and some have black what does this mean?

Check disk allocation for the project.

Blue usually means the files are compressed.

Cheers,
