Re: Video playback not playing right!
I had it with Pro-Res too. I was trying to conform but even if I had the new movie selected, I was still previewing the old movie version. I even called my client to tell him he probably didn't send the good movie because it was not following the new edl.
I realized after importing the movie in a new session that the movie was fine. All I can say is, It doesn't make you look very good. I have been really frustrated by PT12, Load of small bugs everyday that I learned to live with... My apologies this is starting to be out of topic.

Re: Video playback not playing right!
Seems to be pointing towards possible prores flakiness in 12?

Re: Video playback not playing right!
I'm always converting to 720p before i import picture while still not perfect it seems to help lighten the load and keep sync issues down.

Re: Video playback not playing right!
Sorry to revive this, but is there any decent codec (that still plays back in correct sync) for PT11 that is relatively small file size?
Pro Tools 11 specifically. I'm editing a 4 minute video and the full size is 11GB (4K resolution). Tried mp4 (H.264) and it isn't in sync and when I mean not in sync I mean the image won't even play continuously and gets off by several seconds, freezes up for seconds, etc... It plays in super slow motion while the audio keeps going at normal speed of course.

Re: Video playback not playing right!
Trying to spot fx with h264 is a nightmare. I always use DNxHD36 and have no problems.
