Default Ampfarm Versus Ampfarm HD

2 questions:

- Is the HD version worth the extra $100?
- Does it take up any more DSP?

Thanks for the info!

My 2 Cents.

Buy Eleven TDM. It's more expensive of course but its non comparable to the ampfarm 2 and 3.

if you want to upgrade to Intel and still recall your old sessions with Ampfarm, then yes, it's worth the $100.

Are you saying the ver 2 doesn't work with Intel? That's what I am trying to figure out.

According to the chart, only version 3.1 works with Intel. This was my experience, and thus I upgraded.

Not that this is a poke at you or anyone else for that matter, but it seems that this industry is in trouble when everyone moans about a $100 dollar upgrade. The gear in a professional studio used to run upwards of a half million dollars, and the choice to do "one more take" might easily cost upwards of $200 in added tape... the industry supported this.

Now, seems we're in a bad way economically speaking.

Rant over (you weren't moaning by the way I'm just concerned for our industry)
