thankfully we can work around it, but it is still a son of a gun. and it's pretty impossible to find any info on it. it would be nice if someone from tech support would pop up and aknowlege that there is a problem.

Does anyone have insight as to why this is happening on certain systems and not others? Rail had it but said it was solved with the cs1 update. So how come my cs1 update isn't solving it?

It was solved (apparently) on my system when I updated to cs1... perhaps it just hasn't happened again since.

i don't know. i just know that it hasn't been fixed and i updated to cs1.

I have had the same problem for 3 months, even after I did a complete reinstal to PT7.3 then ran all the update to cs3 and it is still there.

Any idea when this will be fixed?

I'm still on cs3 and 10.8, (been too busy to upgrade) but have been having an assertion error in some sessions when trying to export audio. The fix was trashing databases and prefs, reboot and reload the session and export works fine - at least for a while. Just nailed down the culprit and it may be related to the issue in this thread. I often nudge audio regions by beats. That seems to cause the export assertion error. No nudging in a session, and export works fine -- nudge by beats, and any export brings up an assertion error.

I'll capture the actual error line and post it here when I get a chance, but was curious if this is happening elsewhere and if cs4 addressed this.
