Default punching in - midi file issue - can you help

Hi Guys,

When I track my Yamaha P60 Piano I usually track the midi at the same time to allow for later enhancements, transpositions etc. Since upgrading to PT7.3 I have an issue. When I punch in either using quickpunch or track punch I get unwanted extra notes on the midi file at the 'punch in' point. These appear to be a random group of notes with very short duration but high velocity. After punch in I have to go back to edit out the errors. Has anybody else experienced / solved this one. Many Thanks for all you help.

I don't have a fix, but have noticed the same thing. It only happens when you are playing midi notes up to the punch point. The "little" mini me notes seem to be a collection of what was played leading up to the punch. Same thing seems to happen without quickpunch if you preroll before recording.

It's an annoying little glitch that I didn't notice until 7.3.1cs3.

Hi Aubrey.

At least I am not the only one. Thought I was going nuts. I have a BIG project coming up which will require alot of punch ins in MIDI. Hope they fix it soon. Let me know if you find a fix.

Thanks
