Just a personal preference. I hate having all my "eggs" in one basket as it makes rebuilding/restoring tougher. These days, I am sticking with 500GB samsungs, but I do have a 128 and 256, but agree that they are too small for a full load of all my software

Anyone doing this? Is there a recommended brand or spec to look for these days? Thanks!

I have my MacBook Pro 9,1 setup with 2 SSDs. Each has a partition with a bootable drive. One has Mountain Lion, the other one has Sierra. Since I didn't buy the upgrade program, I'm using Sierra and 12.4 until it crashes but it has been working flawlessly so far.

Before having two SSDs I had one that I had partitioned an OWC SSD into 100GB Mountain Lion and 140GB El Capitan. Again, no problem with either.
