Default The Album Is Out!

Well, well, well!

It's been almost a year in the making, but Angie's self-titled debut album is now complete!

Hot off the presses, with super-fine artwork (thanks Mike and Susan), this 8 song debut was lovingly crafted from east coast to west coast and back again. Thanks to everyone on the DUC who has helped with getting this thing done!

Samples of the songs are now live on the newly re-designed www.angiefoster.com website. Check it out!

Damon

PS: In the next few weeks Ill start to flesh the site out a bit more; particularly with some technical information, photos, etc. on how everything was recorded.

Thanks for the kind feedback! Im glad you guys are enjoying it; it was and is a labor of love.

I agree; I was very pleased with the vocal sound; hard to go wrong with a good singer; but, a little extra trial and error, and a whole lot of persistence, and I think we hit the magic combination of gear, acoustics, placement and mix to suit her voice.

Im particularly happy with “Can I Wish It For You”, but, I love them all. That one, however, is one my favorite recordings Ive done in a long time.

Very good job VB!

Angie's voice reminds me a little bit of Sarah Brightman - a very good thing.

I'm currently mixing my first female vocal - could you please offer up some of your cool processing technics. (plugins)

BTW: Your link is a no go in NN 4.5 & 4.7. Only IE works.

Hello!

So, the site itself is not working on Netscape 4.x, on the Mac I assume?

What exactly do you see (or not see)? If you could send me a screenshot; I would be MUCH obliged!

---------------------------------------------

A list of musicians will be part of the "more info on the album part" of the site. Probably by the weekend.

But, here's a list of the usual suspects:

Piano, Rhodes, Vocals, Synths and Autoharp - Angie

Electric Guitars - Scott Strickland and Kit Garroutte (acoustic also)

Bass - yours truly and Alex McKinney of Athenaeum(www.athenaeum.net)

Drums - Brad Lloyd and Carlton Jackson

Violin - Aaron Meyer (does all of the string arranging for everclear)

Cello - Lori Prethus

Hammond - Soctt Fisher
