\"AUDIO REGION \" editing question
Hi, here's a question I have about audio regions, any help is appreciated.
Lets say I have 1 long audio region and I want to cut it up into individual pieces so I have the different parts(intro, verse 1,chorus,verse 2,etc)BUT I also need the individual pieces of the audio region to be seperate files on my hard drive(so I can load the individual parts into a sampler) HOW CAN I ACCOMPLISH THIS ?... I have some books that recomend that I "capture" the selection of the audio region, and that's supposed to create a seperate region in the "audio regions list"& create a seperate audio file on the hard drive,But, I dont seem to be getting this result, When I capture a selected part of the 1 long audio region, it then appears in the audio regions list,BUT there is still only the 1 long audio region file on my hard drive.(SO, I cant accomplish what im trying to do with the sampler, like having each part of the region on a different key to trigger from the keyboard) please help with addvice if you can, THANKS |

Re: \"AUDIO REGION \" editing question
select audio range and choose "consolidate selection" from edit menu. (or file menu, can't remember) it will create a new file on your HD.

Re: \"AUDIO REGION \" editing question
Select the - whatever - verse, chorus, etc., and hit Command-C to copy it, paste it in another track (Command-V), rename it (double-click it with the Grabber Tool to open the "Name" dialogue box) and export as suggested (Shift-Command-K).
