I keep losing my tracks!

I keep losing files in different ways:
1) I open a project to find all the tracks, but there is no sound recorded. I go to "audio files" on my computer, but there are no tracks there either. I know I have saved this project, because I have worked for several days on it.
2) I open a project and the midi tracks are gone. I have to re-record them, but sometimes they disappear a second time as well. I can't find the midi tracks on my computer.
3) PT says that my projects are saved locally, but why can't I find all the audio files that I have recorded? Once I used the file "piano 7" in a project, but I could only find "piano 1-6" in audio files.
4) I find a lot of backup files, but these do not open in PT First. How can I open them?

Did you get a response? I have similar issues - my files disappeared from the local cache in PTF 2019.6 and will not download from cloud (says "0% downloaded")

"at least two" you are joking right? you know you can search on DUC before posting? DUC unfortunately has many posts from people having problems with Pro Tools First cloud storage and data loss. It is persistent background noise here. You are likely wasting your time and should be looking around at all those issues and getting off First. onto Pro Tools standard, or any one of many other good DAWs. if you have critical work missing you might be best off purchasing a support ASC and seeing if Avid support can help you. I expect they cannot, but you can try.
