Default Latency When Playing back MIDI

Im having trouble Playing back Midi through my 002. I've tried low Latency monotoring, and setting the buffer at 512/256. But i still get a Large amount of delay. Has anyone else had this problem?

monitor through a mixer and your monitoring latency problems will disappear.

Any kind of audio mixer that's independent of your 002 will work. Just output your synth or module to the mixer instead of your 002.

You can also try "Show Midi Track Offsets" under the Windows menu, and move the midi tracks around until they're better in time.

Remember, negative numbers (ie -2200) push the track timing ahead.

I've been working with some very talented remix djs lately and they do a MIDI track and imediately record it on an AUDIO track and then slide the audio track up to where it should be. (it always is a bunch of samples delayed when "Tracking" the MIDI part. They all advise not to rely on MIDI playback through the instruments if you want presise timing.

As a follow up.. the above posts are correct when recommending a mixer to alleviate latency when recording..my post was to correct the slight but perceptible playback latency.
