This is to setup the control surface only, not for MIDI pass through using the PMIO's midi ports.

Keep in mind the PMIO only sends control surface data over Firewire using the ProjectMix Control Surface MIDI. Be sure not to select Project Mix External MIDI.

Joel

Oh, and if you don't have ProjectMix Control Surface MIDI showing as an option, post back. There is a solution to that too.

Thanks Joel!
Yesterday the M-audio forum was offline. I did that, it worked! Thanks a lot! But I lose connecction all the time, anyway. I tried everything I have found on audio foruns. I did all the Win7 optimizations...The weird thing is the connection cuts off only with windows media player! I don't need to run PT10 to get this problem.
My firewire card is the SIIG, that one certificated by Avid. I don't understand. Sometimes all is doing well for 6 hours and then the problem shows up. When it starts, I can't stop it. I need to turn off the system and reboot.
I will try a new Belkin firewire cable but I don't think this will solve the problem. Any idea????
Thanks!
