Default Best way to breakdown tracks to separate sessions?

Hi, I recently tracked about 8 songs with my band and I recorded all of the songs one after another in the same session. Could someone give me advice on the easiest way to break each song up into their own sessions?

Zoom way out, look for waveform gaps in between songs, slice & dice 7 times using command-E. You can undo if you accidentally slice a quiet part of a song. Then rename each new region so you can import to new sessions for each one.

Or 'save as' 8 times using different names, then each new session could be trimmed down to the one song. This way makes the timeline about 7 times longer than you need, although you can trim that down too.

Make a backup and then clear out all audio you don't need and do a save copy in. It will save all your settings and side allocation. Then hit apple z on the home session and all will come back, highlight unneeded audio for song two and hit return, and it will all go away again except for song two. Save copy in... and son on and so forth, back to command Z to get audio back....blah blah blah
