Default How do I set up all tracks to one input without going through each one?

is there a way i can set up tracks using one input and not have to go through each one individualy.? I usually only use one input and would like them all to be preset to that. also is there a way to have the plug ins i use automaticaly set? im using protools 7 on a mac

Select all the tracks, then change the input for the first one while holding Shift+Option+Command. It will cascade all the inputs.

Repeat for output assignments.

I think he just needs to hold the Option key while changing after selecting all tracks. I read it that he wants to set them all to the same input.

hey chuck, thats what i read as well .. same input for all tracks .. and it is Shift Option to get all the Selected Tracks to have the same input .. cheers john

Man I hate it when I cascade the input or output and I wanted to change them all to the same one - argh

Option: do to all
Shift+Option: do to selected

Yup, sorry. He did say one input, for some reason I interpreted that as "one input each".

Templates are your friend! Session templates AND track templates.
