Cutting blank space at the beginning and end of songs
Surely someone has asked this question, but I've done 2 searches and come up empty. How do you delete the blank space on your tracks at the beginning and end of a song so the song starts when you hit play and ends where you want it to? In Audacity, which I messed with before using Pro Tools, all you did was highlight the blank space and hit delete and the audio would move to the spot where you wanted it. Since using Pro Tools, I've let my mastering engineer do the cuts, but alas, my current budget doesn't allow for a mastering engineer, so it's back to doing it myself. I know it's gotta be simple, but I've tried all kinds of stuff unsuccessfully. Incidentally, I'm using Pro Tools MP9, if it makes a difference. Thanks.
