AIR Instruments, AAX Status and Upgrade Information

From the installer, during installation type there should be a path menu for content.
(I'm Mac but I imagine it's similar)

You actually can select the location of the content during installing. On the Mac installation after the first "next".

And after installation you can move the whole content folder and set the new location from within strike or structure. Works fine

A few questions - apologies if these have been answered elsewhere but all the AIR IEP issues appear to have fragmented topics across a number of threads:

* Does the new (AIR/V2) AAX version work with PT10 also?

* Does the installation overwrite/delete the old (Avid/V1) instruments and content?

* Are we supposed to receive two serial numbers, possibly to allow for two installations?

The new V2 works in PT11 (AAX64) and in PT10 (AAX32) and I guess the old RTAS versions won't be needed anymore according to their website ..

See above answer, doesn't overwrite as they are two separate programs

The double serial numbers are for the Win and OSX installations so if or when someone switches from PC to Mac or the other way around you can install on the new computer OR have one setup on a mac and one on win as I understood it.

Honestly Structure sounds like old structure and Strike .. Well it still ain't working here on Mac 10.8.5 so I have given up for now.

But LOOM and Vaccum Pro alone are well worth the $99 upgrade cost and Velvet aswell so the rest is just icing on the cake ... When we get them to work

Still dabbling but all are pretty sweet...new version of STRIKE! is killer!

I received four serials for each product; 2 Mac and 2 PC. I'm assuming this doesn't mean you can have all 4 activated at one time, since they allow 2 simultaneous activations.... But they have not provided a license revoke tool.

Their FAQ states that you can contact them if you need to authorize more than 2 machines. I need three activations, so I've contacted them about this. I'll post their response here when I get it.

I am VERY HAPPY to report that now that I finally got it all downloaded (and we ALL know the hassles involved with that!), installed and running, it is VERY stable! I set up a special session and have all 7 instantiated, some multiple times, and it all works swimmingly! Love the new sounds for Hybrid, Transfuser and even Structure. Of course, I had a huge library for Structure already from other sources, so I'm drowing in samples now!

I also brought up a session from PT 10 and after taking about 5 min to relocate the samples for some things in transfuser and Structure, it worked perfectly well.

Also, there are several new kits and grooves in Strike, and the new interface looks great too!

And I can't even begin to say enough good things about Loom! Wow!!

Yeah, for all the fuss, delays and problems...the reward is well worth it. At this point, I see no reason to keep PT 10 even installed. I'm am going 100% PT 11 as far as I can tell. I have all the upgrades of VI's and Plugins I need to go forward. The ones I don't have for AAX-64 are never going to be anyways! So, bye bye to those!
