Default SPDIF Connection with 002 Rack and Ableton Live

Hi guys,
Hope you can steer me in the right direction.
What I want to be able to do is to connect my Triton rack to the 002 Rack with a SPDIF connection so I can hopefully use the effects on it with my recorded guitar.
Im just not sure how to set up the routing.
This is what I have done.

Guitar - into inputs 1 and 2 of the 002.
I record the guitar on a track but would like to be able to use the triton rack's effects on the guitar. How do I go up setting up the physical routing?
Ive connected the triton's spdif out to the spdif in on the 002.
Do I have to also connect the triton's standard audio outs or ins into the 002's audio ins/outs?

Just not sure.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Simon

The Triton SPDIF out SHOULD mirror the analog outputs anyway. You need to patch the 002 SPDIF out to the SPDIF in on the Triton. Does the Triton even have SPDIF in? In any case, you need to send audio from your guitar track(s), probably via an aux send assigned to a L/R set of audio outputs from the 002. The audio out of the Triton would come back in on 2 inputs on the 002. I would record the FX from the Triton so you don't need to hook it up every time you want to roll the song. Using SPDIF either or both ways will eliminate some latency. There may be a small amount of latency anyway so recording the signal will allow you to nudge it earlier if needed, to line up with the rest of your audio(I suggest you set the Triton to 100% wet output so no original/dry signal comes back into PT). Sounds lke a boatload of hassle to me, with all the plugins available "in the box".

Hi albee1952!

Thanks so much for your help.
The triton only has a SPDIF OUT not IN.
I think Ill just use the plugins and leave the triton just for the synth.
Thanks again.
