Default Weird routing issue!?!

Following on from some outstanding advice in earlier posts, i have managed to set up my outboard gear and integrated them into my Mbox Pro set-up.

eg. Mbox output 3 to input to effects - output from effects to line input 3 on Mbox. I then go to insert this onto a track by selecting analogue 3 from the i/o menu in the insert menu.

Problem 1: When i do the above, the signal is only audible in the left or right speaker. When I bypass the insert, the level of the audio increases significantly.

Problem 2: If i activate a send to analogue 3 on a track the audio sounds great through the centre with the effected signal, however I can't pan the signal. When i lower all the faders to zero, the signal is still present (its almost like it is activated after all the faders. Also, i only activate a send but not a return to an aux track and yet the effected signal is clearly audible.

I have attempted to incorporate my outboard gear into my setup on many occasions, but simply given up because it gets too frustrating.

If anyone, could invest some time in helping me, i would be exceptionally and eternally grateful!!!

Thank you in advance,

Jamie

Also, if you have a stereo track, then you need a stereo insert path(you only have a mono path now).

I am using an Mbox Pro 3.

The insert I was trying was on a mono track. It seems like the signal is being monitored AFTER pro tools. Its the only way i can describe it.

Thanks for your help!

Jamie
