Noise after bouncing to AIFF
Hey guys, i tried searching for this topic but didn't find anything. Anways, I generally do all my mixes and they sound good while i'm mixing it. I always leave room enough for it not clip at all, at -3db. But when i bounce to aiff file stereo interleaved i get alot of noise especially when the bass comes. Remember i get no clipping at all not even near. So what's the problem? what should i do to fix this..

I would start with the troubleshooting thread... http://duc.digidesign.com/showflat.p...fpart=1#177661 And also check you mix levels with the metering set to pre fader and post fader, just to double check your levels when bouncing! And your master fader is set to default 0.0 Chris

Re: Noise after bouncing to AIFF
my fader is set to 0.0.. and how do i set my metering level to prefader like u said?
Usually i can tell if it clips, but there's no clipping because the master fader would indicate after it bounces. im sure 100% sure it has to be something else... Basically the only i have is a compression on the master. I use dynamics 3 compressor, u think this would cause it? |

Re: Noise after bouncing to AIFF
1. Double check that none of your sends are clipping internally. Under
view you can select 'assignments' to see the mini faders and look for clipping on a pass. If you've used many different sends, you could also use the 'target' to view different (a-j) sends at once to save time. 2. I've recently had strange noises when using the DIGI MED delay plug (a crackily, almost 'shorting out' sound) It looks like you're not using too many plugs. In my situation, what is bizarre is that a track can be 'pristine' and then a few minutes later, it's all distorted. Removing the DIGIRACK delay plug inserting a different plug makes the noise go away.
