Default HD OMNI - BAD PREAMPS - listen AVID!

Hi there;

seems that weīve got a faulty HD OMNI. Seems to be the same problems mentioned here:

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=326284

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=333752

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=326561

Same issues here! No recommendations worked!
So - please AVID - what is the fastest way to get a working HD OMNI from you.
The problem persists longer time and it is well known that some HD OMNI REVs are faulty.. I donīt understand why you guys havenīt arranged a offical product recall.

This is one of the biggest show stoppers I had with AVID. Really annoying!
So AVID - please get back to me. office (_at_) overdub (_dot_) at
Thanks.

Why are you ragging on Avid in the USER conference? You should be on the phone with tech support.

Talk to the dealer you bought the product from, my Omni exchange was done quickly and with minimal fuss.

Sorry to hear about your problems. As already said, I would take it back to the store you bought it from.

Thanks guys... Iīm already at it... Does anybody know whatīs the latest HD OMNI "REV" might be? I think the safest way to get a working unit would be to instruct the reseller to send us a preferably young unit...

AVID could at least chime in and give a statement which REV wonīt be faulty.

Maby it's hard to tell ?
It might be that not all Omnis of a particular revision are bad.

Other than sluggish knobs mine seems fine. I'll check what revision I have when I come home.

I think what he was saying is that coming on to a user forum and throwing a hissy fit isn't how you get an issue with a piece of hardware resolved.
You call tech support, or go see the dealer that sold you the unit.
I'm sure it'll be either fixed at no charge, or a replacement will be given to you.

My reseller is already working on it.
Sorry when Iīm moaning here, but I have had too many problems with PT and Avid Products the last 2 years; the list of probs and bugs is too long...
Too much bugs for that bucks!

How ever - I think this problem will be solved in a few days. Will see how it work then... and how long I can stay with PT.

Thank you.
