Default partitioning hard drive

With a separate 80G hard drive dedicated to protools,
Should I still partition my C: hard drive? Both drives
are seagate 80G.

Jr Toad ,

Welcome to our community !
I'll assume that you've already did your XP OS ( sp1!!! ) installation on your C: drive.
That is the place also for the PT LE software to be installed. Just follow the default path.
Your second HD should be dedicated for your "session" and "audio" files.

good luck,

Thanks for the reply.
Yes PT LE is on the c: drive and all sessions go onto the
d; drive. The manual suggests partioning to help PT locate
audio files faster. With a dedicated hard drive for PT, I'm wondering
if it's still nessesary to partition?
