Sound Toys, Sonnox, Predator Updated = problems...

Since updating these three I seem to have the similar bug where stopping the session playback causes a Pro Tools crash (with a log that I send to avid.)

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have a clone I can roll back to but I'm interested in trying to see whats causing it first then getting that info to the developer.

Not sure which one but maybe if some one else is seeing it we can find the culprit


Im about to start removing things to see what might be causing it on my system

edit I also updated Eventide Ultra Channel over the weekend... so one of those 4 seems to causing it.

If it's on PT11, I had those crash errors before the first company on your list released an update. Unfortunately the updated 11 has quite a few new problems.

well... hmmm removed sound toys and worked on the session for a little while without the STOP bug/ crash...

seems to be it. anyone else..??

Ok Wow.. so its my machine and those in some way... another plug in AND these sound toys - maybe then... HHmmm.

I was using decapacitator once or twice in the session in question. and another session shay little prima tap pouching CPU spikes... at least they went away when I de activated that. . and when I re activated it seemed all ok as well.. so that one was weird.

I finished what I needed to do on the session that was crashing with Sound Toys removed. And since I see here they seem to be working ok for others I put them back in, trashed prefs and restarted and then went back to the session from earlier and played around a bit .

No crash... I was trying to make it happen by stopping and starting quick moving around zooming... and after a few minutes maybe 10 messing around with 2 decapacitators in the session it seemed ok.

I noticed that I also removed the HOFA folder with the free plug ins.

I'll leave that out and see what happened... and maybe tomorrow Ill add it back in and see if thats the link...
