Looping vocal while monitoring music playback
I'm sorry. I'm at a loss to solve the problem of looping a vocal over music playback. The "Getting Started" manual is no help. The DVD glosses over the issue (but says much more than the manual). I've seen the loop record and play toggle buttons in the Transport window, and they seem to operate correctly, but I cannot monitor the music track. Is this an LE step I've overlooked or something I must connect differently on my Mackie board?
Thanks! |

Re: Looping vocal while monitoring music playback
I have discovered the method. One does not use the Mackie mixer; one plugs directly into the Digi001 box and does likewise with the headphone. Then it works just it did in the DVD demo.
Am I wrong or did the old ProTools 3.x do this more or less automatically through the external mixer? |
