Using Dig Perf & Pro Tools
What's the best way of using Digital Performer with Pro Tools? In other words, I want to RECORD my synth sounds into Pro Tools. Do I export a standard midi file, import that into Pro Tools )at which point I can turn the midi files into audio files) or is it better to turn the midi files into audio files within Digital Performer and import those audio files into Pro Tools? Or is there a way of the two communicating without having to import anything? Or do I buy two computers so I can have BOTH programs operating at the same time?

Re: Using Dig Perf & Pro Tools
I'm not familiar with DP2.7 or PT4.1.1, but the way I presumed it'd be done is to use "MIDI sync" (master/slave), (and perhaps "Beat Clock" too?) with one sequencer slaving from the other.
Then by pressing play (or record) on one, the other starts recording (or playing). Check your MIDI preferences. Other than that, I'm sure somebody (Kev?) can chime in and help you out further. Phil
