Default PT won\'t accept my Authorization Code :(

I just installed the PT 7.0 upgrade on my PC. When running the program for this first time it prompted me for my authorization code. I found the code in my PDF manual "Upgrading to Pro Tools 7.0" but whenenver I enter it I keep getting an "Invalid Authorization Code" error.

This really has me confused and I don't know what to do. I entered the code exactly as it was layed out in the manuel. I've tried about 10 times or so.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Make sure you capitalize and space it exactly as it is printed. Also if it is the upgreade code did you try the original code. You may have to email Digi in the AM....

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I capitalized and spaced the code exactly as it was printed in the PDF. I tried numerous times.

My original code is for 6.0 on a Mac so I doubt it would work on my PC. This PC is brand new and has never had PT installed on it before.

I had this same problem a few versions ago, and as silly as it sounds, I was typing in the code wrong. I had someone else look at the code and type it in, and they got it right! It sometimes helps to have a fresh set of eyes look at a problem. In my case, I also had to quit sniffing glue.. (just kidding!)

If you bought the upgrade from online and registered, it may be in your My Digi account
