MBox2 distortion Mavericks 10.9.2

After updating to OSX10.9.2 using Ableton Live 9.1.1 all audio passing through my mbox2 from both DAW and computer is distorted, making the unit rather useless. i tried reinstalling the 10.3.3 driver with no luck. I really don't want to have to buy a brand new audio interface. Is there anything else i can try? when will this be fixed?

Have you tried listening to say, iTunes through the mbox to see if you still get this distortion?

All audio from both DAW and the rest of the computer passing through the mbox is distorted.

Hmm - sounds like the obvious, incompatibility with Mavericks 10.9.2.

If you have a TM backup pre 10.9.2, I'd roll back.
