I think the best time to demo PT10 is when some AAX plugins will be available. I know that for testing AAX-dsp we have to wait for the release of the HDX card, but we could at least compare the AAX with RTAS for seeing how they are better CPU optimized. Today I didn't see yet any third co out with AAX format.

the demo is not a bad idea. but the concern is not about the quality
price to upgrade from PT9 that we already paid to much for about a year. that's the main concern
if avid offer a reasonable price, there is not need to waste time to convince the pro tools user. but if avid want to waste time, welcome demo. let try it.
this is my own point of view

Probably the promise of the demo was a bit early. I mean they decided in the hq, but nothing was planned before. It's an answer to the storm...maybe they're busy preparing the demo.
