Default Storing lyrics

Hey folks:

I am using Pro tools 8,0.5 and I am wondering if there is a way of storing song lyrics within the song's session?

Thank-you

Cal

Nothing within Pro Tools covers this, but a simple text file can be saved and dropped into the session folder. You could also take digital photos of hardware settings or mic positions and save those in a folder within the session folder.

Actually, Steve Massey made a free plugin many years ago called recall notes.
I did a quick, unsuccessful search. The Massey website made no sense to me.

Anyway, I think it might work for you, and with 8LE, RTAS won't be a problem.

If you can't find it, I could provide a copy for mac. I'm shure Steve won't mind.

Anybody heard from Massey lately?

Another option is to create blank MIDI clips for each line, naming them with the line of lyrics - that way they're right on the timeline, in the correct place (you just need a bouncing ball to sing along to).

Thanks to all. It would have been great to have something built right in to protools. It seems like such a simple thing to have allowed for, but what do I know.

In any event, thank-you for your ideas and suggestions.

Take care

Cal
