Quick punch on Keyboard Transport

Hi All

I'm having trouble using quick punch on the numeric keyboard "Number 3"

The audio track is armed and the transport is set to quick punch,

Pressing "3" plays and records on selected tracks, but if I want to drop in, I press play and "3" to drop into record but instead the playhead jumps back to the original start point.

Same issue with F12 and command and space.
Insertion follows playback makes no difference.

Any ideas?

It is not enabled, If I enable it makes no difference.

I think if you open "keyboard" prefs in sys prefs, you'll find that those keys are assigned to do something else . .

maybe you need to have "insertion follows playback" engaged?
