BFD Lite - Basic Questions
Hi, Having trouble finding info about how to use BFD lite, so a few basic questions (I did watch the tutorial that came with the download).
Q1. Once I have loaded a kit and a midi pattern, I can audition it by selecting on the pattern (in the top drop down area). How do I make that pattern LOOP? Currently it only plays once. Q2. Am i able to change the TEMPO & Time SIG? Double clicking on the default "146.00" under the word "Beat" doesn't give me access to that field... Useless if I can't change the tempo on a drum kit of course, so I am certain I am missing something obvious. Not much help around for BDF Lite that I can find. Thanks, Geoff |

Re: BFD Lite - Basic Questions
I use BFD lite, but I let PT take care of the TIME. I had a hard time looping where it would never loop at the right time. If you google "how to use BFD Lite" you might get some decent info. BFD does not support the lite version. Digidesign is suppose to. (according to Fxpansions web site.)

Re: BFD Lite - Basic Questions
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I see what you mean -- I just discovered the auto repeat function, the ["R"] button, to get the loop to repeat, though I am not sure yet how to sequence the loop variations in PT.
The tempo problem is due to me having sequenced a piano track at half time, using a tempo of 146 bpm, when I should have recorded it at 73bmp!! --- Is there a way to convert the song to 73bmp and then double the tempo on the piano, thus letting my BFD drums sync to the proper tempo? Make sense? Thanks, Geoff |

Re: BFD Lite - Basic Questions
Well if it's midi data, then you can change the tempo, and click the TCE tool and drag it out double length to bring it to the right length. If you need more info about that, I can tell you in more detail

Re: BFD Lite - Basic Questions
THANK YOU! I didn't know about the TCE tool.
Is there a way to do it numerically, rather than a drag? Thanks, Geoff |

Re: BFD Lite - Basic Questions
I just set to Grid mode and zoom till I can see what measure I am looking for and drag.

Re: BFD Lite - Basic Questions
Can anyone provide some instructions on how to sequence a drum track using BDF Lite?
I just can't make sense of it. Thanks, Geoff |
