Pro Tools 12 just does not open!! no error msg...nothing! please help me

Hi all, i really need help i tried doing everything PT still will not open! when i double click to open the mouse wheel will spin meaning its trying to open but then nothing will happen!! if i open task manager and go to processes tab while opening pro tools, protools.exe will show up for 10 seconds then disappear.

I have a mbox mini 3 on latest 1.1.8 driver. I was on pt le8 (which worked perfect) just bought a upgrade to pt 12. I did a clean uninstall of pt le8, then i installed pt 12, everything is up to date (drivers, ilok2 etc) Ive done everything in the Computer Optimization and Troubleshooting Guides avid article. Ive reinstalled pt12 still not working. I have also trashed preferences... did nothing.

i tried doing a sandra report but it wudnt open some c++ or .net error i dont know how to fix... but i have provided info below.

Hardware:
OS- windows 7 ultimate 64bit
cpu- i7 4770k 3.5ghz
ram: 24GB (2x4gb sticks 2x8gb sticks)
mbox mini 3 on 1.1.8 version driver connected via usb
pro tools latest version 12.4
HDD- i have 2 hard drives one with windows installed and another 1tb drive for pro tools and music, 3.5' sata drives
peripherals: usb network adapter, usb speakers, nothing fancy

this setup worked fine with le8 then after buying upgrade to pt12 it wont open...

any help would be much appreciated.

You didn't need to install PT LE8 and then PT12.

Uninstall PT LE and PT12. And then just install PT12.

Also you mentioned you have a hard drive for "Pro Tools". What does that mean? Are you installing Pro Tools to a secondary hdd? Don't do that. Install Pro Tools to your system drive (C:)

might want to read the OP's post again ... he uninstalled PTLE8 and did a clean install of PT12 ...

More Windows details that matter: Always run the installer as Administrator. Once the install is done(and you reboot), right-click on the PT icon and select Properties>Compatibility tab, find these 2 items:
Always Run as Admin
Disable Desktop Composition
check both

fixed issue upgrading and doing a clean install to windows 10
