HDI/O detected as 192???
Just upgraded the studio.
Bought two HD I/O and one is being detected by Digitest as a 192i/o. The other is being detected correctly as HD I/O. I have cleared all the prefs, and moved the cables. The 192 detected device shows up as the same connection no matter, the card it is connected too, or if I use the secondary ports for connectivity. In other words, the issue follows the hardware. When I view Audio I/O firmware it shows the correct 5.5 HD I/O version, but offers 3.0 for an update. I assume 3.0 was the correct version for a 192. 192s were the previous interfaces, but I have also cleared all prefs and open a new session. this made no difference. Any advice is appreciated!!! MacPro quad2.66, Snow Leopard 10.6.8, PT9.0.3, (2) HDI/O, HD2. David |

Re: HDI/O detected as 192???
For all perposes it makes no differance for audio or functionality
The hd io does the same thing without the A/B calibrations and othe minor details but it won't affect any performance if it seen as a 192 as opposed to a 192

Re: HDI/O detected as 192???
What about ADC? 192 has a different, slower, A to D and D to A. Wouldn't PT seeing a HD i/o as a 192 throw the audio out of time?
Odd problem for sure. I'd call the place where you bought the HD i/o. |

Re: HDI/O detected as 192???
I have the free Avid support call I can make for purchasing the interface, but was hoping someone had run into this.
Yeah, it seems to work fine,m I have not compared latency between the two. to be clear, one is showing up as an HDI/O the other a 192. And of course, seems like a lot of money for this type of inconsistency. D |

Re: HDI/O detected as 192???
Perhaps you should peel back the HD sticker and see if it says 192 under it. LOL! Just joking.
Please let us know what happens as I'm getting close to upgrading also. Good luck!
